About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) contractor has completed rehabilitating the concrete travel lanes and interchange ramps of Interstate I-275 from south of 62nd Avenue to north of Gandy Boulevard in St. Petersburg, Florida.
A grinding process was designed and used on both old and new concrete slabs after the rehabilitation was completed to provide a smooth roadway surface.
Other improvements consisted of:
A traffic control plan was developed and used to minimize inconvenience to the traveling public. Lane closures and ramp closures were restricted during holiday periods and special events.
